We at Castle Rock Insurance enjoy supporting local Castle Rock businesses, and the Starlighting event is one of our favorite traditions of the year. It is a warm, family friendly way to kick off the holiday season and spend time in the heart of our community.
What to Expect
The annual Starlighting celebration takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Historic Wilcox Square and Festival Park. Families can enjoy a full afternoon of holiday activities, including a Kids Zone with games, face painting, a petting zoo, and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Throughout downtown you’ll hear carolers, see dancers, and catch live performances adding to the festive atmosphere.
The main stage ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the lighting of the star at approximately 5:30 p.m. Weather permitting, a fireworks show will take place immediately after. The event is free and open to everyone.
Food trucks, hot chocolate stands, local vendors, nonprofit booths, and the traditional chili supper at Fire Station 151 all help create a warm, lively community celebration filled with music and holiday cheer.
