Licensed Independent Colorado Insurance Agency

Castle Rock Insurance LLC is a licensed independent Colorado insurance agency operating under Colorado Agency License #935334. Founded in 2014, Castle Rock Insurance assists Colorado consumers and businesses with personal, commercial and specialty insurance needs. The owner of Castle Rock Insurance LLC is a licensed Colorado Resident Insurance Producer under Producer License #928992 and National Producer Number (NPN) #22090882. The owner’s individual producer license is separate from Castle Rock Insurance LLC’s business-entity agency license. Castle Rock Insurance operates as an independent insurance agency and brokerage. We are not an insurance company. Our role is to help clients understand insurance needs, navigate available coverage options and access appropriate insurance markets and licensed insurance professionals. Insurance companies independently determine underwriting eligibility, premiums, policy terms, coverage availability and claims decisions.

Our Independent Insurance Approach

Insurance needs vary considerably from one client or risk to another. Insurance companies have different underwriting guidelines, geographic appetites, carrier appointments, coverage options and eligibility requirements. This is especially important in Colorado, where wildfire exposure, hail, reconstruction costs, property characteristics and specialized commercial risks can affect insurance availability. Castle Rock Insurance takes an independent approach rather than attempting to fit every client into the same insurance company or market. Depending on the insurance requested, available market access and the characteristics of the risk, Castle Rock Insurance may assist directly or coordinate assistance with a carefully selected licensed insurance professional or agency that is well suited to the client’s needs.

Carefully Selected Insurance Partners

Castle Rock Insurance may work with carefully selected Colorado-licensed insurance agents, producers, brokers and agencies (“Insurance Partners”) when their experience, carrier relationships or market access are appropriate for a client’s particular insurance needs. These relationships allow Castle Rock Insurance to help clients access additional expertise and insurance markets when appropriate. When Castle Rock Insurance selects an Insurance Partner to assist with an insurance request, the request is generally assigned exclusively to that selected partner. Castle Rock Insurance does not routinely distribute a client’s insurance request or contact information among multiple unrelated retail insurance agents or agencies. Our goal is to provide a focused and personalized experience by selecting one licensed professional or agency that we believe is well positioned to assist with the requested coverage. In limited circumstances, Castle Rock Insurance may select a different Insurance Partner if the originally selected partner is unable to establish contact with the client, is unable to assist with the requested insurance, does not have appropriate market access or is otherwise unable to service the request. Any reassignment is intended to help ensure that the client receives appropriate insurance assistance and is not intended as broad distribution of the client’s information. Insurance Partners are separately licensed insurance professionals or businesses and are responsible for the professional insurance services they provide. When an Insurance Partner provides individualized insurance advice, solicits or negotiates insurance, obtains quotations, recommends coverage, submits applications, places coverage or services a policy, those activities are performed under that professional’s or agency’s applicable insurance license, appointments and authority.

Agency of Record and Policy Servicing

The licensed insurance agency that ultimately places an insurance policy will generally become the agency of record for that policy unless another arrangement is disclosed or subsequently established in accordance with applicable law and carrier procedures. Depending on the transaction, the placing agency may be Castle Rock Insurance or the selected Insurance Partner. The agency responsible for placing the policy will generally handle ongoing policy servicing, including endorsements, policy changes, renewal assistance, billing questions, certificates of insurance and claims assistance. The identity of the licensed agency responsible for the policy will be disclosed before or in connection with the purchase of insurance. Castle Rock Insurance believes clients should understand which licensed professional or agency is responsible for their coverage. Our partner relationships do not change the responsibility of the licensed professional or agency actually providing insurance advice, placing coverage or servicing the policy.

Insurance Companies and Market Access

Neither Castle Rock Insurance nor an Insurance Partner represents that it has access to every insurance company, program or insurance product available in Colorado. Carrier appointments, underwriting appetite, geographic restrictions, product availability and market access vary by insurance agency, producer and individual risk. As part of the normal quoting and underwriting process, an insurance risk may be presented to multiple insurance companies, wholesale brokers, managing general agencies, program administrators or other specialty insurance markets. Presenting a risk to multiple insurance markets is different from distributing a client’s insurance request among multiple unrelated retail insurance agents or agencies. References on this Website to particular insurance companies, programs or insurance markets are informational and do not guarantee that a company is currently available, will provide a quotation or will accept a particular applicant or risk.

Insurance education is an important part of Castle Rock Insurance. In addition to assisting clients with insurance needs, Castle Rock Insurance publishes original educational resources intended to help Colorado residents, property owners and businesses better understand insurance and make informed coverage decisions. Our educational resources address topics including homeowners insurance, auto insurance, commercial insurance, landlord and rental property coverage, umbrella insurance, wildfire exposure, hail and wind damage, roof underwriting, reconstruction costs, specialty insurance risks and changes affecting Colorado’s insurance market. The educational information published on this Website is intended to explain insurance concepts and provide practical Colorado-specific information. By requesting insurance assistance, you authorize Castle Rock Insurance to review the information you provide and, when reasonably necessary to evaluate, quote, place or service the requested insurance, share relevant information with the selected Insurance Partner and with insurance companies, wholesale brokers, managing general agencies, program administrators or other insurance-market participants involved in the transaction. When assistance from another retail insurance professional is appropriate, Castle Rock Insurance generally selects one Insurance Partner to assist with the request rather than distributing the client’s information among multiple unrelated retail insurance agents or agencies. If that selected Insurance Partner is unable to establish contact, cannot assist with the requested insurance, lacks appropriate market access or is otherwise unable to service the request, Castle Rock Insurance may select another appropriately licensed Insurance Partner.
